Original Charter from November 21, 1965 shows SLATON LOCAL ASSEMBLY  has Lubbock’s 3008 under our 4th Degree Charter!

Original Charter was in 1964 and was re-instated in 2006.

The REGALIA of the 4th Degree: The ceremonial sword symbolizes Christian Knighthood, and is carried to signify reverence to Church, Eucharist, country and freedom. The tuxedo, chapeau (hat) cape and sword worn by the Color Corps were inspired by 19th century naval uniforms, with different cape colors representing 9 different program ranks, the Lapel Pin (4th Degree pin), the Social Baldric (worn under the coat, from right shoulder to left hip), the sword scabbard, the Triad Emblem: The Dove, the Cross and the Globe AND Our honored Order cherishes as its Patron, CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS!

Color Corps is an Elective division of the 4th Degree, whose distinctive presence in Catholic functions is a visible reminder of our service to the community.

The Patriotic Degree (Fourth Degree) ritual added patriotism to the three original principles of the Order: charity, unity and fraternity, any Knighthood (third degree) member in good standing is eligible for membership in the Patriotic Degree.

The primary purpose of the Patriotic Degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism by promoting responsible citizenship and a love of and loyalty to the Knights through active membership in local Patriotic Degree groups called assemblies!
